Confused about Wallpaper submission guidelines

So I recently submitted 2 wallpapers that took me a lot of work to create in Photoshop. Sadly, they were rejected, but honestly, as a frequent visitor of this site I can't figure out why. Here are links to the two walls: Link and Link.

In the rejection email I received is a link to the guidelines for submission (Link), but they are fairly general and I do not think any point obviously applies to my situation.

Now I'm hoping to ask the community at large, preferably people who actually get walls accepted, what's wrong with these walls? I think they came out really nice, and I'm darn proud of them. They are certainly my best attempt so far. It just seems kind of funny that crap like this Link (don't worry it's mine

) can get accepted but these two much better pieces of work are rejected. Other walls similar in style to mine have been accepted, so it shouldn't simply be that Wincustomize rejects all walls of this type.

I just feel bad that my crap can get accepted but my better stuff gets the shaft.

The 'Personal Pages' option is an alternative, though it won't attract quite as much public awareness as what ends up in the 'Public' gallery.

Generally emails are not sent describing 'why' a wall is rejected...unless it's politically expedient...eg. a 'rip' of another's work.

Too often the emails would be responded to very poorly [though I for one am unlikely to learn new forms of abuse from them] and it was neither warranted, nor appreciated by the moderators so it was deemed 'best' to just not send them.

If you do have a wall rejected...and are curious you can always email to seek an opinion or improvement suggestion, etc...

ok... how does one submit to their public pages? I tried to do this and got another rejection email. LOL I probably just submitted this to the WC library again by mistake.

That would be your "Personal" page. Public will be just the same as you did and it will go through moderation first with a chance to be rejected. Your personal page will only be moderated for guideline rebellions / misuses.

ok tried again to submit ether_blue to my personal page and again it was rejected. anyone got any ideas?

Try using IE to submit

Also try submiting to your personal page's Photo Album, there is no moderation for that. Surely it won't get as public as other walls, but with a Forum Post you might just get some people to visit it. Also no comments.

Oh well life is like that.
